Shaving testicles hair.

Praise be to Allah

We submitted the question to His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Outhaymine (may Allah preserve him).

« Shaving the hair on this part of the body is not one of the natural practices recommended by the Sunnah. However, when the hair becomes thick, it should be removed to prevent it from being soiled from the outside.

There are verified hadiths in the purified Sunnah that indicate that shaving pubic hair is indeed instituted. Indeed, it has been reliably reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The natural practices (recommended by Islam) are five: Circumcision, trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, uprooting the armpit hair and shaving the pubic hair (reported by Bukhari) In addition, the Prophet (blessings be upon him) set a periodicity of 40 days, according to the hadith of Anas ibn Malick (P The Prophet (peace be upon him) set a period of 40 days for trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, removing the armpit hair and shaving the pubic hair (reported by Bukhari, 10/284 and Muslim, 1/222). It is advisable not to neglect these acts beyond this period.

The jurisconsults have established rules for shaving pubic hair. They state that the person should start shaving the area directly below the navel, going from right to left and hiding. Then the hair and the cut nails should be buried.

The purpose for which the removal of these hairs was instituted is that dirt can cling to them and they must be removed in order to clean oneself and be in a state of complete ritual cleanliness and to get away from the causes of defilement and dirt that stick to the skin. Their removal is a beautiful act. In this respect, women should behave like men.

Allah the Most High knows this best.
