Praise be to Allah
There is no harm in repeating the Umrah. For the Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged (Muslims) to repeat Umrah without fixing the time between them.
Ibn Qudama says in al-Mughni: « There is no harm in repeating Umrah several times in a year. This practice is reported from Ali, Ibn Omar, Ibn Abbas, Anas, Aisha, Ataa, Tawus, Ikrima and Shaafi. In fact, Aisha performed Umrah twice in one month at the behest of the Prophet (peace be upon him). He also said, « An Umrah followed by another Umrah atones for the sins committed in between.
In Madjmu al-Fatawa (17/432) Shaykh Ibn Baz was asked, « Is it permissible to repeat Umrah in Ramadan in order to enjoy the reward that comes from it?
He replied, « There is no harm in it because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘An umrah atones for the sins committed after the one before it. And the approved pilgrimage has no other reward than Paradise. (Reported by al-Bukhari, 1773 and by Muslim, 1349)
There is no harm in making 3 or 4 Umrahs. For Aisha performed two Umrahs in less than 20 days during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
The Standing Committee (11/337) was asked: I live in a village 100 kilometers from Makkah. Every year, I go to Makkah during Ramadan to perform Umrah and the Friday and Asr prayers before returning to my village. I discussed this with some of my brothers and they told me that it is not permissible to perform Umrah every week during the blessed month of Ramadan?
She replied as follows:
« If the reality is as you have described it, then what you have done is permissible since there is no text that specifies the time that must separate an Umrah from the one that follows it:
However, some scholars have argued that the time necessary to regrow the hair from the head shaved during the first Umrah should be allowed to pass between two Umrahs. This time may be one week or 10 days.
In Ash-Sharh al-Mumti (7/242), Sheikh Ibn Uthyamin said, « Imam Ahmad said, ‘One should not repeat Umrah until the hair is completely restored. However, the popular practice of performing excessive Umrah in Ramadan to the extent of performing one during the day and another at night is contrary to the tradition of the pious ancestors.
In al-Mughni, Ibn Qudama says: One can be satisfied with one Umrah per month, according to Ali. Anas would repeat his Umrah when his hair was completely restored. This is reported by Ash. Shafii in his Mousnad.
Ikrima said: One repeats Umrah as soon as one can use a razor to shave. Ata said: One can perform Umrah twice a month. Ahmad says: After an Umrah, one must shave or reduce his hair. However, ten days after shaving one may still have hair to shave.
In Madjmu al-Fatawa (26/45) Sheikh al-Islam said, « Ahmad has clarified that it is not advisable to increase the number of Umrahs excessively, neither from Makkah nor from elsewhere. One should allow a certain amount of time to elapse between Umrahs, even if it is only the time it takes for one’s hair to grow back so that one can shave. (Quote changed).
